The new computer was pre-installed with windows 7. Everything seems to work perfectly but it failed when trying to install the driver for the dell photo aio 944. According to the dell and ms website it is not a supported product. I tried the xp drivers - the printer was added to the printers list but nothing would print.The Dell 720 photo printer is a single function ink jet printer designed to handle normal.The cost per page is high. It costs about $37 for one color and $27 for one black cartridge as they are Dell specific. The printer cost $30 new with the 2 ink cartridges. I use it mostly to scan and print a few color prints. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.I have a 924 all in one inkjet that does prints pretty well for a cheap printer. In order to make full use of your device, download the file to a folder on your hard drive, and then run (double-click) it to unzip the files.

The toner carts are so small I figured they wouldn't be 2000 sheets. Now and then, the printer refuses to accept the toner cardridge. ![]() The print recorder in the 3130cn tells me that I've printed close to 3,000 pages so far, mostly black text & color photos and I'm warned that I'll soon have to change the black toner cartridge (the cartridges that come with the printer are rated for 3,000 impressions). With the 3130cn, of course, I don't have to change a single one. Even though I use the "fine photo" setting in the printer driver to print the newsletter, which causes the printer to print slower than its full speed, it still prints 3 times faster and better than did my old Canon inkjet.And when using my old Canon inkjet to print a newsletter issue I used to have to change cartridges 5 or 6 times. It sure prints photos better than any other laser printer I've ever seen.I use the 3130cn to print all sorts of stuff, including my Rockland High School (Maine) Class of 1952 Newsletter, about 6 to 10 pages three times a year, made up of text and lots of photos, about 100 copies each issue. It prints fast and very well-it prints photos better than my old Canon inkjet printer did. I've certainly had no issues with it so far. I'd certainly like to know the answers to both of these if you run across them.It's a BIG printer but it prints beautifully. Hope it works because it would save me over $100 per cartridge.I don't know anything about how to obtain a shop service manual and I don't know if we can refill the original toner cartridges. I have the replacement cartridge on hand and will post on its working here when I do get to use it. So far I'm very happy that I bought this printer. It prints superb black text and excellent color photos on this paper.If you have any other specific questions about this printer I'll try to answer them. Staples sells it only online but will deliver free to a store near you. I tried several laser papers in it and have been most satisfied with Hammermill's Laser Print paper (with the green butterfly on the ream package), which is available in 24, 28, & 32 lb.
